Services
At Scoot Paediatric Physiotherapy we are dedicated to providing high-quality care and improving your child’s physical well-being.
Our experienced physiotherapist Nick, offers a range of services including physiotherapy, standardised movement screenings, and telehealth consultations. Our goal is to support your child’s development and help them reach their full potential. Trust us to deliver personalised treatment plans tailored to meet your child’s individual needs and help us move toward our vision of “more children and families, more healthy, more of the time.”

What to Expect
We understand it can be scary for children to meet new people sometimes, and that children may feel anxious or apprehensive about therapy sessions.
At Scoot, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel comfortable and at ease. We use play-based therapy to motivate your child and have a wide array of toys and games to engage children of all ages. You are also welcome to bring in a few favourite toys which may help your little one to feel a bit more comfortable from the get go.
An initial consult will involve a friendly and thorough history taking, covering all things childhood development from during pregnancy and beyond. This will be followed up with a detailed objective assessment to assist the therapist in making an informed diagnosis and creating the most appropriate individualised treatment plan. You will set goals with your therapist and work together to create a plan to achieve them. We are so excited to be part of your journey!
Physiotherapy
We know children are not just small adults; they are different and are constantly changing whilst they grow and develop.
Some children take longer to develop and have more challenges than others, so if you have concerns about where your child is up to, book in for a developmental assessment.
There are many conditions and ailments that can cause challenges with development and lead to poorer overall physical ability and health. We have detailed some more specific conditions on our Conditions page.

Standardised Movement Screenings
We utilise a gold standard assessment measure – Movement ABC 2 – which can assess the fine motor, aiming and catching, and balance of children between 3years and 16y11m old.
This tool identifies those at risk of a movement disorder or falling behind.
It provides a percentile ranking based on their age matched peers and can use this measure to identify movement disorders and children at risk of falling behind. It is a wonderful tool to set a baseline from which we can progress and make an evidence based intervention plan. The Movement ABC 2 typically takes 30minutes to complete so an extended consult (45 minute) is required for this service. If this is something you are interested in, please let your treating therapist know via the New Client Intake form at the time of booking.
